Black Stoneware Sea Shell Vessel

This black stoneware seashell-motif vase is appx 12" tall and 6" in diameter at its widest point. It's created using thick clay coils. The handles are press-molded using actual large sea shells. After forming, I cover the leatherhard surface in porcelain slip--then I incise the surface creating lines and patterns which are then filled with oxides and finish with hand-applied rich, transparent glazes. It is a perfect size--not too big and def not small--perfect for full flowers like sunflowers! A beautiful one-of-a-kind treasure.
