This one-of-a-kind vessel was handbuilt using thick clay coils. When leatherhard, I cover the surface with porcelain slip, then incise lines to create the patterns. I then fill the lines with earth oxides to enhance the contrast on the white background. I finish the piece using hand-applied rich,transparent glazes giving the surface a nice tension and lovely hand. This piece is appx 10.5" tall and appx 8" wide. It's unique and fits beautifully in formal or informal settings. It's lovely on its own or make it's personality shine with bold flowers.
